Namibia sealed a 3-0 series sweep over the United States in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 with a comprehensive 17-run victory in the third and final match at the Windhoek Cricket Ground on Tuesday.

Sarel Burger starred for Namibia with an all-round performance, scoring a crucial 50 with the bat and then taking three wickets with the ball.

Namibia posted a competitive total of 274/8 in their 50 overs, thanks to a solid batting performance from their top order.

Captain Gerhard Erasmus led the way with a fluent 76 off 75 balls, while Stephan Baard (47) and Lohan Louwrens (39) also made significant contributions.

For the United States, Saurabh Netravalkar was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3/45 in his 10 overs.

In reply, the United States got off to a steady start but kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bowled out for 257 in 49.2 overs.

Aaron Jones top-scored for the United States with a well-made 55, while Monank Patel (49) and Nisarg Patel (43) also chipped in with valuable runs.

However, Burger's three wickets, along with two wickets each from Ben Shikongo and Bernard Scholtz, proved too much for the United States to overcome.

The victory sees Namibia maintain their unbeaten record in the Cricket World Cup League 2, while the United States remain winless after three matches.

Namibia will now travel to Oman for their next series, while the United States will host Nepal in their next assignment.
