Moorpark Man Arrested in Attempted Murder Case
Barricade Situation Ends with No Injuries
Suspect Identified as 42-Year-Old Moorpark Resident
Moorpark, CA - A Moorpark man was arrested on Monday after being involved in a barricade situation that ended peacefully. The suspect, identified as 42-year-old John Doe, was taken into custody without incident.
The incident began at approximately 10:00 AM when officers responded to a call of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported that Doe had threatened her with a firearm.
Officers attempted to make contact with Doe, but he refused to come out of the residence. A perimeter was established and a SWAT team was called to the scene. After several hours of negotiations, Doe surrendered to the officers.
Doe was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and making criminal threats. The victim was not injured in the incident.
