Waymo Robotaxis Disturb San Francisco Residents
Autonomous Vehicles Honking Repeatedly
Residents Awake to Disruptive Noise
San Francisco's South of Market (SoMa) residents have found themselves plagued by an unexpected nuisance this past weekend: the incessant honking of Waymo robotaxis parked at a nearby lot. NBC Bay Area reported that the autonomous vehicles have been occupying the lot at night, disrupting the sleep of nearby residents.
The self-driving cars have been left honking at each other for hours on end, creating a maddening cacophony that has left residents frustrated and sleepless. The honking has been so persistent that some residents have resorted to closing their windows or wearing earplugs just to get some rest.
