WEB Lille and Olympique Lyonnais played out a pulsating 3-3 draw in their D1 Arkema clash at the Decathlon Stadium on Saturday. The hosts twice took the lead, but Lyon showed their resilience to fight back and claim a point.
Lille started the brighter of the two sides and were rewarded for their attacking intent in the 46th minute. Amélie David converted a penalty to give her side the lead. However, Lyon hit back just 15 minutes later through Selma Bacha's stunning free-kick.
The second half continued in a similar vein, with both teams creating chances. Lille regained the lead in the 61st minute, once again through David, who scored from the spot after Signe Bruun was brought down in the area. However, Lyon were not to be denied and they leveled the scores once more in the 79th minute, with Lindsey Horan heading home from a corner.
Lille thought they had won it late on when David completed her hat-trick with a fine individual effort. However, Lyon had the final say and scored a dramatic equalizer in the 90th minute through Cristiane. The result leaves Lille in fourth place in the D1 Arkema table, while Lyon remain top of the standings.
